VIII ICEVI East European Conference

Organizers of the conference

We are pleased to invite you at the VIII ICEVI East European Conference, dated on September 27-29, 2018 in Saratov at Saratov State Technical University named after Y. A. Gagarin  and Saratov National Research State University named after N.Chernyshevsky (Russia).

Representatives of the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science and  ICEVI-Europe, leading scientists, university academics, schools and colleges teachers from Russia and CIS are expected to take part in the conference events.

Professionals, teaching people with visual impairment or other disabilities, regional and local administrative bodies officials, responsible for social programs of care, education and rehabilitation development, non-governmental organizations, parents and students with disabilities are welcomed to join the discussion on different topics which are important for accessible environment sustainable development.

The concept of the Conference

The concept of an inclusive or accessible environment is based on the conviction that the right to life and social mobility in society is a fundamental human right which provides a basis for greater social justice through the integration of vulnerable groups of population.

The principle of integration involves dialogue between different systems of social order to ensure an accessible environment and reduce social inequality.

Social policy aimed at improving education, health and welfare of citizens is impossible without social inclusion, which involves the expansion of rights and the availability of accessible environment for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.

The aim of the conference is to search for technological and social means of rehabilitation and mitigation of barriers of inequality for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.
